The Woods are Alive

The Woods are teeming with life it seems, and not just any sort, Hunters with their mighty bows and clever trapping skills, and Hired Swordsmen, ready to fight for a bag of shiny coin (or a place to sleep at night). Their fighting skills are far more honed than the skill of the ruffians inhabiting your camp. The Hunters are more skilled at routing out your enemies gold hiding spots, and the Swordsmen.. well, they just fight better.

With their skills, they discover greater wealth within and around this forested region, and even after just a few days, your coffers begin to fill with the spoils of trade and war.

Ruffians, Hunters and Swordsmen!

Not sure if you noticed, but we did our Saturday Afternoon update, and I’m now doing my Saturday evening Tweaking.

Some small changes here and there..
* Took out ‘footmen’ and changed them to ruffians. Attack 2, Defence 1.5, Steals (not coded) income 1 gold per 10
* Added in Hunters (2,0.5,1/4) and Swordsmen (3,1,1/6)
* Attack System updated for new troops
* Graphics for Attack page.. on its way..
* Code set of ‘how much space you have left.. will become nice looking box soon.
* Code set for Command tents
* Number Crunched the Command Tent and decided to break it into two, 800 & 1200 respetively, will restrict Troops when updated..

Oh and INCOME!, major overhaul.. you’ll all be getting FAR too much money soon, with the Mercs II update next weekend & Combat Losses.. should be for some nice fine battles!

Mini Glitch

Powerful magics were at work this day.. the ground began to quake.. Warlords struck the ground writhing in pain as their brains melted and reformed.. The Gold in the coffers evaporated into steam.. which settled upon the ground.. sometimes larger sometimes smaller. Some More alert quickly went to the camps of their enemies and grabbed what they could as their enemies writhed around, unable to understand what happened to them.

 

at 1:30pm moscow: +4GMT, I accidentally edited live code instead of offsite code.. this resulted in everyones Warlords becoming 1st level,gaining as much as 200 gold each and then losing it all then gaining 400 more, and finally everyones AP are +50 more than before.. Since some players happened to be live on the game, I know they quickly jumped around, grabbing gold as the attack page was crashed as much as anything else..

 

Once I realised what had happened, I quickly rolled back the code, but due to my promise.. no accounts will be changed. I will live with my error and give all players a temporary game boost. Thanks for your understanding.

Welcome Test Run Alpha team!

Ok, so you’ve either just come to the site and don;t know what to do… then use this Work around to get you into the game

 

If your already IN? and have some questions.. well first up heres the scoop.

This is test Run Alpha 1. If your here its because your in Lords of Legend group at facebook, or your someone I know that I’d like to show off to.

Most of your questions may be answered with.. “we’re working on that” or “its on our List”

If your an old hand from LofL, you’ll know whats coming, and won’t really need to ask ‘where is my X, why can’t I find Y’ because you’ll know “we’re working on that”. Everything you can remember from LofL will be in, or emulated. somewhow..

If I ever talk about adding X,Y or Z to the game.. I want you to know/understand, it means not in vanilla wolf. I have plans to make a hybrid game of this and a game idea I had a few years ago, (paper and pencil version – completed 2007) to make an even better game.

Still, that said.. problems Arise, things happen, if you spot a fault, feel free to comment in this thread or in the forums, and we’ll add it to the list of things we already know we’re working on.

Clan Wars Instructions & Game mechanics

Its a Typial Broser based Battle game. You gain Action points & cash each turn, Attack people with your actions and spend your gold to make your Attack / Defence / Income / Units Better.

 

In Classic Mode, There is Gold, Attack score, Defence score, Action points, experience and levels.

In Full Mode, Stone, Food and Wood will be added, Terrain types, Health points for units, Experience for squads, and Towns will be seperate from Armies.

 

In Classic, Units can Equip pre-set Armour, Weaponsand players can join any guild,

In Full mode, Armour and Weapons are assigned to Units as the player chooses, (by squad) instead of guilds, each area will have groups of players who wish to work together and claim the land under a guild/banner/country/religeon.

I’m BAAAcck!!

Well, It took me longer than I thought, No computer while on holidays can both suck AND be a blessing. I got more sightseeing done, and no facebook games.. LOL & Grr.

 

Provided all is well, I shall get in contact with the team and get things underway Very very soon, we were on the verge of going live 2 weeks before Christmas, and Kablamm.. too many problems to deal with.
