So, you might recall an Idea I had about the ‘end game’
In LofL the game reset after a set amount of time, then later I understand the game was Auto reset when a clan reached power 5 million.
The Biggest problem people complained about was having just started, or not being there from the beginning.
Most of this was understood, ok the game will reset, players will start again with more understanding, all cool.
Storyline, I couldn’t fathom its reality.. How does a world ‘reset’?
After much discussion, a friend of mine came up with the idea.. why reset, why not allow your armies to move off and fight new players, while the old players fight on..
I thought about this.. Yes.. After wars are fought, surely peace begins to settle, the larger kingdoms are too powerful for a small warlord to even hope to fight, Large kingdoms start to trade with each other and war becomes unprofitable. Surely this could be introduced into the game.
With Warlords this kind of complexity is not going to work, but the idea occurred that the basics for it could still be implemented. and the Tent Was Born:
The TENT: Players who begin, start with a small war-band with a war-chief. In each of the 7 ‘slots’ a fireplace (squad) may be added, you upgrade the tent through 5 stages, each cheap and mobile, allowing your army to come and go as it pleases.
In Warlords, the tents are a cheap beginning, allowing you to gain +5 – +25 sleeping spaces for your troops while you build up the size, level and training to be able to attack the larger towns to take their cash.
The First Real Building (War-camps don’t count) either the Fortress or Barracks or Walls, Will be the first REAL step to your Castle, BUT you give up some small benefits of being mobile.
In Warlords, you’ll gain the Massive Defence Bonus, Also players may not be able to see your cash (forts, markets and banks will hide some of your cash) but you’ll lose the bonus midnight AP.
In my later expansion (new game title unknown) I have the idea that War-camps will be able to move around the map, allowing players who join to move to other regions and group up with their friends. Larger players may abandon their cities if they so wish.. but it will leave their people defenceless.
